Our Mission

It’s pretty simple, really.
We recycle with love.

We’re making it easy for you to be part of the solution, and keep our country clean and green. Recycling over 100 million cartons, plastic and cans is our main focus for 2012, and we aim to continue increasing recycling awareness over the years ahead. So when you see our friendly ‘Love NZ’ logo, take a moment to remember all the things you love about living in beautiful New Zealand – then help us keep it that way.

The Game Plan

We understand that just like a winning rugby team, the key to success is in working together. That’s why we’ve partnered up with all the big players – government, councils, and industry leaders to create a recycling infrastructure for NZ regions. We’re backing up our implementation strategy with an innovative advertising and education campaign; allowing Kiwis to get behind the vision for a cleaner, greener NZ.

Love NZ are thinking big for 2012, with ambitious targets of:

  • Over 1000 permanent bins
  • Over 2000 event recycling bins
  • Over 100 million drinks containers recycled when we are out and about

Sounds like a lot huh? Well, New Zealand may be a small country, but we’ve always set the bar high.

Where can I find a Love NZ bin?

You’ll spot our Love NZ recycling bins at key locations; working hard to give tourists and locals alike an environmentally friendly option for disposing of snack packaging and drinks. Remember; just because you’re finished with your plastic bottle or drink can doesn’t mean it’s no longer useful! Find a recycling bin and put it in.

Love NZ - Making a Difference

Our aim is to do more than just provide Kiwis with bins for their recycling. We want to leave a lasting impact on how recycling is perceived by both visitors to New Zealand and the people who live here; building a strong, sustainable foundation for our country’s waste management.
